据了解，干细胞是身体内部细胞再生过程中的关键角色，起到不断制造新头发的作用。这种细胞的作用如今被研究人员们所怀疑，这个月早些时候，一组研究人员们表示：有AGA(雄性遗传基因脱发)的患者，他们的干细胞值处在正常范围之内，另外一些不同的起源细胞，也许是真正与AGA有所关联的细胞。精确细胞种类的了解，能够帮助研究人员设计出一种更好的治疗男性型秃发的方法。

It’s known that stem cells, the key players in regenerative processes in the body, play a major role in continually making new hair. Naturally, this role has caused researchers to suspect  earlier this month a group of researchers showed  that patients with AGA actually had a normal amount of hair stem cells in their scalps. Instead, the team found that different “progenitor cells” may actually be the cells whose fates are tied to AGA. This better understanding of the exact cell types involved may ultimately help researchers devise better therapies for treating male pattern baldness.
