今天在hairlosshelp的时候，偶然发帖一帖，原文如下，用锯棕榈的朋友，可以读一下。

There have been a good little amount of posts about SP sides that have popped up recently on this board.

It is my belief that any internal DHT inhibitor is going to give some type of sides eventually.

But has anyone ever heard of topical saw palmetto sides? I used to cut open a saw palmetto liquid capsule, and take a few droplets of it and rub it into my scalp. I wouldn't even use the whole liquid cap contents.

I doubt this could be near enough for some type of systemic absorbtion, but what do you guys think, about topical saw palmetto sides and topical absorbtion in general.

I've heard people say that the scalp doesn't absorb stuff very well, but how does one explain the people getting sides from minoxidil usage when applied topically?

What absorbs and what doesn't?

Hi Maxster. All I can say is that I've been selling a topical saw palmetto based product for a couple years now and I have yet to hear anyone complain of systemic side effects. I believe the reason is due to the fact that we simply need so much less of SP. Since the follicles are found in the skin we can use this to our advantage. We can actually use very little SP to give the skin a very healthy dose of the stuff. True some will go into circulation but my guess is that at most you'd be getting 1/50th of a good oral dose. Therefore no side effects.
